Born and bred in Cheltenham, George began his removals career at just 17 and established his first Cheltenham-based business at 19. He and his fully-trained team have been helping people move their homes, treasured possessions, office equipment and complete businesses, for more than 30 years.

The Cheltenham Removal Company Ltd was set up in 1988 and quickly became a reliable, firm favourite for thousands of home and business movers across Gloucestershire and beyond.

A Family Run Business

George now employs a fully-trained removals team which includes his son Connor, support from brothers Patrick and Michael, and occasional guest appearances from his mother Diane, who has been company secretary since the business began.

Our Fleet

We have a fleet of purpose-built removal lorries and vans that operate from our Cheltenham base. All our large vehicles have air suspension to provide smooth carriage of your most delicate goods, and they come fully equipped with everything needed for a smooth and successful move. This includes padded furniture covers, transit blankets, wardrobe boxes, sack trucks and of course a full range of packing materials.

We offer free insurance of up to £50,000 to move and store your goods and can secure competitive quotes for specific higher value items.

As Director and owner of the Cheltenham Removal Company Ltd, George is the registered holder of the company’s Operators Licence and all his drivers have passed the Certificate of Professional Competency – a transport industry standard that guarantees a high level of customer service and commitment.

In the past 30 years, the company has worked with top blue-chip companies and some of London’s leading fine art and antiques companies, moving everything from complete computer systems to delicate pieces of art and antiques.
